Holo uses bittorrent's parallelism to power distributed applications (dapp), which is the data integrity engine for distributed applications. Holo can build a distributed web with user autonomy directly into its architecture and protocols.
The holo and blockchain are built for very different application scenarios. For a system that maintains an absolute global consensus, the blockchain is relatively advantageous. In the case of weak consensus (in most cases), holo is much better than blockchain: it is faster, more efficient, more scalable, adaptable, and extensible.
