CRUST provides a decentralized storage network of Web3 ecosystem. It supports multiple storage layer protocols such as IPFS, and exposes storage interfaces to application layer. Crust's technical stack is also capable of supporting a decentralized computing layer. It is designed to build a decentralized cloud ecosystem that values data privacy and ownership.
Based on the TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) technology, Crust implements MPoW (Meaningful Proof of Work) mechanism to quantify meaningful storage resource usage and generate corresponding work report in a reliable way.
Crust's GPoS (Guaranteed Proof of Stake) consensus uses storage resources as a guarantee. It encourages nodes to provide more storage resources, and improves the security and robustness of the network.
With GPoS consensus and MPoW mechanism, Crust is able to support the quantification and consensus of both storage and computing resource usage, and builds ubiquitous decentralized cloud storage and computing capabilities.
