To enhance your trading experience, OKX will activate the automatic update feature for funding fee settlement period at 16:00 (UTC) on September 26, 2025.

If the funding rate of a perpetual future reaches the funding fee cap or floor when funding fee is charged or paid, the perpetual’s funding fee settlement period will automatically be adjusted to hourly settlement.

Example:

Assume the ABCUSDT perpetual future has a funding fee settlement period of every 8 hours; the funding fee will be charged or paid at 00:00, 08:00, 16:00 (UTC), with a funding rate cap/floor of 0.375%/-0.375%.

1. If the ABCUSDT perpetual future's funding rate reaches 0.375% at 16:00:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025, the funding fee settlement period will be adjusted 1 hour automatically. The next funding fee settlement time will be at 17:00:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025.

2. If the ABCUSDT perpetual future's funding rate is 0.1% at 16:00:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025, the funding fee settlement period will be changed.

Important Notes:

1. After the funding fee settlement period automatically adjusted to 1 hour, OKX may later change it to every 2, 4, or 8 hours based on market conditions, without separate announcements. Please refer to Perpetual Information or the API endpoint GET /api/v5/public/funding-rate to obtain the latest funding rate settlement frequency, and adjust your trading strategy accordingly.

2. Depending on market conditions, OKX reserves the right to disable the automatic update feature for specific perpetuals. At the current stage, this function will not be applied for BTCUSDT, BTCUSD, ETHUSDT, ETHUSD perpetuals.
